Get ready for an exciting summer of running at the Youth TNT Program in Fort Collins, Larimer! Starting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, and running through August 4, 2026, this dynamic program invites kids ages 7-17 to lace up their shoes and hit the track on Tuesday evenings. For just a $25 registration fee, young athletes will have the opportunity to improve their running skills in a supportive environment while preparing for local races such as the Rainbow Run and the FireKracker 5K, with the Mountain Ave Mile as the ultimate goal.
Each session begins at 5:00 PM with check-in and warm-up, followed by core stretching and insightful tips on running and health. Participants will engage in interval training and finish with a cool-down to round out their workout. Organiser's Description
The FCRC is offering a summer youth running program at the track again this year! This is open to kids ages 7-17. The program will run on Tuesday evenings before Tuesday Night Track (TNT) from 5/26-8/4.
There will be a $25 registration fee
We recommend kids aim to run the Rainbow Run [https://runsignup.com/Race/CO/FortCollins/SamsRainbowRun] and/or FireKracker 5K [https://runsignup.com/Race/CO/FortCollins/FireKracker] as practice races, with Mountain Ave Mile [https://choicecityrunning.com/mountainmile/] being the target race.
Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible.
SCHEDULE:
5:00pm - 5 Check-in and warmup as group
5:10pm - 5 Core/Stretching and brief running insight of the week (sleep, activity, fueling, peers, etc)
5:20pm - 5 TNT-style interval session
5:40pm - 5 Cool down
This will generally take place at Fort Collins High School, but you will be updated if the location changes.
