Organiser's Description
ABOUT EAB:
On October 11, 2025, Equal Access Birmingham (EAB), a free medical clinic run by medical students from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine, is hosting the 10th Annual Heart + Sole 5K Run IN PERSON for the first time since the pandemic! The goal is to raise money to further our mission -- to provide free medical care, medication, and health education to medically uninsured or underinsured residents of Birmingham. We staff two primary care clinics each week, occurring Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. We also hold specialty clinics on Saturdays including Reproductive Health, Mental Health, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and Optometry. EAB strives to promote health and wellness in the Birmingham community.
All proceeds will be used to support the operations of Equal Access Birmingham through the EAB Gift and Endowment Fund. Our route is linked below!
