Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the 16th Annual Barkhamsted River Run 5K, taking place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in the picturesque Northwest Hills of Barkhamsted, Connecticut. This exciting event serves as a fantastic fundraiser for the Barkhamsted elementary school, making it a perfect opportunity to support local education while enjoying a beautiful day outdoors. The race features a scenic, fairly level out-and-back course along the serene Farmington River and through the stunning People's State Forest, with just a couple of mild hills to keep things interesting.

Race day kicks off with registration from 8:00 to 9:15 AM, followed by the 5K race starting at 9:30 AM, and a fun 1-mile Kids Run at 10:30 AM. Participants who register by May 16th are guaranteed a free T-shirt, and medals will be awarded to the first-place finishers in each category.
