Event summary
Get ready for an exhilarating day of fun and competition at the 2024 Southwest Youth Mile Race Series! Taking place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the beautiful Indian Trails Park in Fort Wayne, Allen, this exciting event invites elementary school boys and girls to showcase their speed and spirit in three thrilling one-mile cross country races. With professionally chipped and timed races by Ruble Timing, young athletes will have a chance to earn individual awards, including trophies for the top finishers and medals for those placing 2nd to 10th, as well as ribbons for 11th to 25th place.
The race schedule kicks off with race bib pickup from 4:30 to 5:15 PM, followed by the races starting at 5:30 PM for 3rd graders and younger, 5:40 PM for 4th graders, and 5:50 PM for 5th graders. To top it off, awards will be presented at 6:15 PM, with team awards adding an extra layer of excitement! The Southwest Youth Mile Race Series consists of three separate one mile cross country races open to all boys and girls of elementary school age. Races will be professionally chipped and timed by Ruble Timing. There will be individual awards AND team awards based on overall scoring by grade and gender.
Location: Indian Trails Park, in the field at the very back of the park
Race dates: August 28, September 11, September 25 (Note: there is a backup rain date of Oct 2 only if we have to cancel any of the races due to storms/inclement weather)
