Runners in the 5K will be greeted with delicious cupcakes after crossing the finish line, while those taking on the 1-mile challenge will enjoy four delectable brownies along the route. Every participant will receive a themed medal, and children under 5 can join in for free, receiving a copy of this year's featured book! With entry fees starting at just $15 for the Cookie Run and $35 for the 5K, this event is a fantastic way to support the Waterloo Library & Historical Society while having a blast. IF YOU GIVE A HUMAN A COOKIE, THEY WILL PROBABLY EAT IT. WHEN THEY EAT IT, THEY WILL PROBABLY FEEL GUILTY. BUT IF THEY DO THIS FUN-RUN THEY CAN HAVE THEIR COOKIES AND EAT IT TOO!
THIS FAMILY FRIENDLY RACE, ORIGINALLY INSPIRED BY LAURA NUMEROFF'S "IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE", WILL TICKLE YOUR TASTE BUDS AND BENEFIT THE WATERLOO LIBRARY & HISTORICAL SOCIETY. THIS YEAR WE WILL BE EATING CUPCAKES!
THIS YEAR WE ARE CONTINUING OUR 5K EVENT, BUT DON'T WORRY, YOU DON'T HAVE TO EAT THEM ALONG YOUR RUN. WE'LL HAVE SOME READY FOR WHEN YOU ARE DONE!
IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN OUR ORIGINAL 1 MILE EVENT THERE WILL BE 4 BROWNIES IN TOTAL SO BRING YOUR APPETITE AND RUNNING SHOES TO RACE 1 MILE AROUND THE LIBRARY AREA OF WATERLOO.
PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A BOOK OR CUPCAKE THEMED MEDAL AND REGISTRATIONS UNDER 5 WILL RECEIVE THEIR OWN COPY OF THIS YEARS BOOK.
