The GORE-TEX Kahtoola Uphill is a fun, family-friendly annual mountain race up and down the slopes of Arizona Snowbowl that celebrates human-powered movement. It's also the biggest fundraiser for FRIENDS OF CAMP COLTON [https://friendsofcampcolton.org/], with 100% OF THE PROCEEDS supporting youth environmental education in Northern Arizona.
CHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGE
Hike up using your preferred traction gear (MICROspikes traction, hiking crampons, snowshoes, etc.), or skin up with AT skis or a splitboard (Midway and "Oomawki only). With events ranging from easy to challenging, sign up for the Cambium Wealth & Legacy Strategies [https://www.cambiumwls.com/] Fun Climb, Midway Climb or the Lumberyard Brewing Co. LUMBERYARD "OOMAWKI CLIMB (FORMERLY AGASSIZ CLIMB) SKINNING: For those who opt for skinning, this 3.5-mile race with a 2,200 ft. vertical ascent offers a unique mountain experience.
* _Note: Starting in 2025, the name of the Agassiz Climb has been changed to the "Oomawki Climb (Hopi meaning "house of clouds"). The course will be the same, the only change is the name of that particular event. Thanks to the efforts from students in the Flagstaff High School Native American Club, who advocated to have the name of this peak restored._
