Join us for the 2025 Grahamtastic Connection 5K Run & Walk on Sunday, October 19th, 2025, in the picturesque town of Springvale, York! This exciting event celebrates 27 years of connecting kids by supporting children with cancer and serious illnesses through technology that fosters education and emotional well-being. The day kicks off with bib pickup from 8:00 to 9:30 AM, followed by a fun-filled Kids Fun Run at 9:30 AM and a unique Robot Race at 9:45 AM, allowing children to participate virtually. The main race starts at 10:00 AM, taking participants on a beautiful out-and-back 5K course along the scenic Mousam Way Rail Trail, surrounded by stunning fall foliage.
Post-race festivities include awards and prizes at 11:30 AM, live music generously provided by Rob Butler, and a delicious free BBQ hosted by Patco Construction. With registration fees starting at just $10 for children and $20 for adults in advance, this family-friendly event welcomes leashed dogs and offers free entry for those who participated in the 2025 Maine Marathon. ABOUT OUR NON-PROFIT: Our mission is to provide free technology to children with cancer and other serious illnesses to support their education, as well as their social and emotional well-being. Technology, including iPads, laptops, robots and Internet access, enables our children to continue their education during treatment while also remaining connected to family, friends and medical providers. Simply stated, we connect kids when their world is out of reach.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The 5K run/walk is an out and back course starting at Bradeen Street and ending at Nasson Community Center. (Nasson Gym) Course is partially on road but mostly on well groomed Rail Trail portion of the Mousam Way with turn around at Deering Pond. Run or walk with the beautiful fall foliage all around you.
REGISTRATION:
Adults (18+) $20 in advance, $25 day of race
Teens (13-17) $15
Children (6-12) $10
Children under 5 free when accompanying a paying adult.
Leashed dogs welcomed!
