Join us for the spirited 2025 MHRRC Ed Erichson Memorial Races on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, in the picturesque Lagrangeville, Dutchess. This exciting event features both a 5-mile and 10-mile run, starting and finishing at the LaGrange Town Hall. The 5-mile course is known for its fast and flat terrain, while the 10-mile course offers a bit of a challenge with an uphill section to conquer—runners will tackle this course twice!
Registration kicks off at 8:00 am, with the 5-mile race beginning at 9:00 am and the 10-mile race at 9:15 am. The first 100 registrants will receive a stylish long-sleeve soft cotton shirt. There are enticing awards for the top three overall male and female finishers in each race, as well as age group awards every 10 years. Plus, participants have the chance to win fabulous prizes donated by the Croton Running Company, including gift cards and a free pair of Brooks shoes for the top finisher! Five and ten mile runs starting and ending at LaGrange Town Hall. The five mile course is fast and flat (The Winter Run in reverse) while the ten mile course has one challenging up-hill section plus the fact that you run it twice! Registration opens at 8:00 am. 5 mile starts at 9:00 am and the 10 mile starts at 9:15am. Long sleeve soft cotton shirts to the first 100 registrants. There is a $5 discount/race for MHRRC club members.

Ed Erichson was one of the founding members of the Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club, which was formed in 1979. The first club-sponsored race was called the Inaugural Run and Erichson was the race organizer. Sadly, Erichson passed away in a car accident in 1984. MHRRC founding mothers Linda Stow and Mary Phillips felt it was important to carry on the race tradition. They renamed the race in honor of Erichson, and a scholarship fund in his name was formed for graduating Hyde Park School District runners every year.
