Join us for the exciting 2025 Willow High School Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 27th, in Fuquay-Varina, Wake! This annual Thanksgiving Day event, established in 2022, promises a fantastic day of fun and fitness for the whole family. Participants can challenge themselves on the USATF-certified 5K course, which begins and ends on the school track, winding through the scenic campus, the Park-Depot Greenway Trail, and the picturesque South Lakes neighborhood.
In addition to the competitive 5K, which offers awards for overall and age group winners, the event features a Kids Fun Run for children aged 9 and under and a Diaper Dash for toddlers aged 4 and under. While registration for the 5K events is closed, on-site registration will be available for the Kids Fun Run and Diaper Dash until 9:00 AM on race day. Don’t forget to participate in the Fun Family 5K, which welcomes walkers, runners, and strollers (no pets allowed), and get creative with your Thanksgiving costumes for a chance to win a trophy in our costume contest! Every participant will receive a medal upon completion, and those who registered early may also snag a commemorative

STORM THE SPRING BEFORE YOU GOBBLE!!
Established in 2022, Willow Spring High School is BACK with its Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5k Run!
The USATF-certified 5K course will start and end on the track and include a loop that will take you around campus, down the Park-Depot Greenway Trail, and into the South Lakes neighborhood before your return. The Kids Fun Run (9 and under), and Diaper Dash (4 and under) will all occur on the school track.
ALL REGISTRATION FOR THE COMPETITIVE 5K AND THE FAMILY FUN 5K IS CLOSED. WE WILL ONLY BE DOING ON-SITE REGISTRATION FOR THE KIDS FUN RUN (9 AND UNDER) AND DIAPER DASH (4 AND UNDER), REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 9:00 FOR THE KIDS RUN AND DIAPER DASH.
We will again offer the competitive 5K for those faster runners who can finish within 30 minutes and want to run with less congestion on the course. In the competitive 5K there will be overall awards and age group awards. Awards will be given following the competitive 5K. For an added bonus, the course record holder always gets a free entry!
The Fun Family 5K includes walkers, runners, and strollers (no pets). In the Fun Family 5K, we will have a costume contest that will be judged during the race on Social Media. So come out in your funniest Thanksgiving costume, get your picture taken and have a chance to win the Trophy!
All participants will receive a MEDAL at the end of their race. Participants who run the Competitive 5k or the Fun Family 5K who sign up before October 25th will also receive a t-shirt. If you register after October 25th, t-shirts are not guaranteed.
