Get ready to kick off the New Year with the exhilarating 2026 Kanawha Valley 5K Winter Series, taking place from January 1 to February 28, 2026, in the beautiful St. Albans, Kanawha! This exciting series features three unique 5K races designed to bring the community together and celebrate winter fitness. The first event, "Race into the New Year 5K," will take place on January 1 at 2 PM, followed by the "Dachshund through the Snow 5K" on February 8 at 2 PM, and concluding with the "KCHA Run for the Paws 5K" on February 28 at 9 AM.
Participate in all three races to earn a coveted medal or jacket, but be sure to register early to take advantage of the tiered pricing, which starts as low as $70 for the entire series! Note that there will be no virtual component unless unforeseen circumstances arise, but virtual participation is permitted for Race #2 if postponed. Race 2 - Dachshund through the Snow 5K - Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 2PM (KSF)
Race 3 - KCHA Run for the Paws 5K - Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 9AM (Nitro)
SERIES PRICING IS AS FOLLOWS:
October 1 - October 14 = $70 ($23.33/race)
October 15 - October 31 = $75 ($25/race)
November 1 - November 30 = $80 ($26.67/race)
December 1 - December 31 = $90 ($30.00/race)
January 1 (at Race #1) = $100 ($33.33/race)
There will be NO Virtual component to the series unless we are forced to postpone.
VIRTUAL IS ALLOWED FOR RACE #2 DUE TO POSTPONED DATE.
You MUST participate/finish ALL 3 RACES in order to be eligible for the medal/jacket. If you miss one race you will not be eligible.
