This exciting event celebrates the 59th anniversary of the UNC Student Health Action Coalition (SHAC) Clinic, the oldest student-run clinic in the nation, dedicated to providing vital health services to underserved populations in the local area.
Join fellow runners and walkers at the UNC Campus Y Courtyard, where the race kicks off at 7:30 AM. Participants can register for the 5K for just $25 before September 10th, with the fee increasing to $30 thereafter. Each entry includes a stylish t-shirt (guaranteed for early registrants), and prizes will be awarded to overall winners and top finishers in various age categories. Last year, over 150 community members came together to support this worthy cause, and we hope to see even more this year! UNCs SHAC (Student Health Action Coalition) Clinic is the oldest student-run clinic in the nation, helping medically underserved populations in Chapel Hill and surrounding areas. Join us in celebrating the SHACs 59th anniversary at the SHAC 5K & Health Fair on Sunday, October 4th!
Last year, we had over 150 runners and walkers registered to support UNC's SHAC Clinic and so many amazing sponsors!
100% of the proceeds will go towards SHACs free health services for our uninsured and underinsured neighbors in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Durham. Whether you sign up for the 5K or donate - your help and support is greatly appreciated!

The 5K starts and finishes at 7:30 am at the UNC Campus Y Courtyard located at 180 E Cameron Ave in Chapel Hill. Free parking is available anywhere on campus. Parking is also available on Franklin Street.
The entry fee is $25 if registered by September 10th. Beginning September 11th, the entry fee will increase to $30 up to and including race day. The entry fee includes a t-shirt with sizes guaranteed to all those registered by September 10th. After that date the shirts will be given out as available.
Pre-registered entrants can pick up their race packets and late entrants can register beginning at 7 am on race day.
Prizes will be given to the overall first, second, and third place male and female finishers, as well as to the top non-binary finisher. Prizes will also be awarded to the top finisher in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
