The race will kick off at Downey's Bar and Grill in Riverdale, taking runners through the scenic Van Cortlandt Park, a beloved local gem.
Before the main event, families are invited to join in on the fun with an informal kids' fun run at the starting line. Every finisher will receive a stylish race t-shirt, and there will be delicious refreshments waiting at Downey's after the race. Plus, awards will be handed out to the top three male and female finishers, as well as masters runners. No matter the weather, this event will go on rain or shine, with proceeds benefiting the FDNY Foundation. Organiser's Description
We are excited to welcome everyone back to our 4 mile cross country race in memory of FDNY Chief Michael Fahy. The route will follow the same course as run in years past, starting at Downey's Bar and Grill in Riverdale and proceeding into Van Cortlandt Park. We will have an informal kids' fun run at the start line before the race begins. All finishers will receive a race t-shirt, and refreshments are to follow at Downey's. Awards for top 3 male/female and masters runners. Event is rain or shine. Proceeds to benefit the FDNY Foundation.
