JUSTIN MULLIKIN WAS A DEVOTED HUSBAND, FATHER, SON, BROTHER, AND FRIEND. FAMILY WAS ALWAYS HIS PRIORITY, AND THERE WASN'T MUCH HE WOULDN'T DO FOR THE PEOPLE HE LOVED.
JUSTIN WAS A QUIET MAN WITH A BIG HEART WHO NEVER WANTED ANYONE TO KNOW JUST HOW BIG IT WAS. HE WAS NEVER ONE TO SEEK ATTENTION OR RECOGNITION, BUT HE WAS OFTEN THE FIRST PERSON TO SHOW UP WHEN SOMEONE NEEDED HELP. WHETHER IT WAS FAMILY, FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, OR EVEN SOMEONE HE BARELY KNEW, JUSTIN WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO LEND A HAND WITHOUT EXPECTING ANYTHING IN RETURN.
HE WAS ALSO A STRONG SUPPORTER OF YOUTH ATHLETICS AND RARELY MISSED AN OPPORTUNITY TO WATCH HIS CHILDREN AND THEIR TEAMMATES COMPETE. WHILE HE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN THE LOUDEST PERSON IN THE STANDS, HIS PRESENCE AND SUPPORT WERE CONSTANT.
FITNESS WAS AN IMPORTANT PART OF JUSTIN'S LIFE, AND HE GENUINELY ENJOYED RUNNING. BECAUSE OF THAT, A 5K FELT LIKE A FITTING WAY TO HONOR HIS MEMORY. IT REPRESENTS THE DEDICATION, PERSEVERANCE, AND DETERMINATION THAT HE CARRIED THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE.
FOLLOWING JUSTIN'S PASSING, THE JUSTIN MULLIKIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP WAS ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT LOCAL STUDENT ATHLETES AS THEY PURSUE THEIR GOALS AND DREAMS. THROUGH THE 5K FOR J, WE HOPE TO CELEBRATE JUSTIN'S LIFE, HONOR HIS LEGACY, AND CONTINUE INVESTING IN THE NEXT GENERATION.
WHETHER YOU WALK, RUN, VOLUNTEER, DONATE, OR CHEER OTHERS ON, THANK YOU FOR HELPING US CARRY JUSTINS LEGACY FORWARD. ALL RACE PROCEEDS AND DONATIONS WILL GO TO THE JUSTIN MULLIKIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP.
