The event is set up as memorial for Kali Rank, who passed away from a car accident on October 2, 2021. Kali was a dedicated soccer player and played club soccer for Coast FA 04 girls team and for Aynor High School. Kali was a great teammate and friend and this race is to honor her legacy both on and off the field. Proceeds of the race will go to ensure Kalis legacy lives on and will provide a scholarship in her honor to a Coast FA soccer player to attend a four year university.
