Join us for an exciting and meaningful day at the 5th Annual Jane Hardman Scholarship 2 Mile Walk/Run on Friday, May 8, 2026, in Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia! This vibrant community event aims to raise scholarship funds in honor of Jane Hardman, supporting local high school students pursuing degrees in education or mental health. Last year, our dedicated participants helped us raise an impressive $1,000, and we are eager to continue that momentum this year!
Set against the backdrop of the Roane General Hospital Center of Wellness, the event kicks off with registration at 5:00 PM, followed by the race at 6:00 PM. Entry fees are just $10, with a special rate of $5 for kids ages 10 and under. The first 40 participants will receive a commemorative short-sleeved shirt, so be sure to register early! If you can't attend but would like to contribute, donations are greatly appreciated and can be made at the PATCH office or mailed directly. Let's come together to celebrate community spirit and support our youth—mark your calendars for May 8th and be part of this fantastic event!

ALL ENTRY FEES AND DONATIONS WILL DIRECTLY BENEFIT THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR A ROANE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT PURSUING A DEGREE IN EDUCATION OR THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELD. LAST YEAR, WE RAISED $1,000!
