This uplifting event features both a 5K and a 10K Trail & Ruck Run, celebrating the bravery of military veterans, their families, and all those who lost their lives on 9/11 and in the subsequent wars. Participants will have the unique opportunity to pay tribute by completing two sets of 22 honor pushups/pullups, raising awareness of the serious issue of veteran suicide.
The festivities kick off bright and early, with check-in opening at 7:15 AM and the races starting at 8:15 AM. Awards and refreshments will be available after the race, making it a perfect family-friendly outing. Proceeds from this meaningful event will support the Police Departments of Huntingburg and Jasper, IN, reinforcing our commitment to community safety and honoring those who have sacrificed so much. On Saturday, August 8, 2026, OFS is hosting its 6th Annual Honor and Remember Run. The family-friendly 5K and 10K Trail & Ruck Run was created in honor of military veterans, their families, emergency personnel, and all who died on 9/11 and the wars following that fateful day. Ruck Runners are encouraged to participate in 2 sets of 22 honor pushups/pullups to help bring awareness to the fact that 22 veterans commit suicide every day. All proceeds will be donated to the Police Departments of Huntingburg, IN and Jasper, IN, furthering their commitment to keep our communities safe and honoring those fallen. Please join us in honoring these brave men and women.
