Join us for the 6th Annual Honor and Remember Run on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Velpen, Pike! This uplifting event celebrates our military veterans, their families, and the heroes who served on 9/11 and in the wars that followed. Participants can choose between a family-friendly 5K and a more challenging 10K Trail & Ruck Run. Ruck Runners will have the opportunity to honor the 22 veterans we tragically lose each day by completing two sets of 22 pushups or pullups during the event.
All proceeds from this meaningful race will benefit the Police Departments of Huntingburg and Jasper, Indiana, helping to maintain community safety while paying tribute to those who have fallen. Join us for a day filled with camaraderie, awards, and refreshments. Pre-registration is available until July 18, ensuring you receive a commemorative t-shirt. On Saturday, August 8, 2026, OFS is hosting its 6th Annual Honor and Remember Run. The family-friendly 5K and 10K Trail & Ruck Run was created in honor of military veterans, their families, emergency personnel, and all who died on 9/11 and the wars following that fateful day. Ruck Runners are encouraged to participate in 2 sets of 22 honor pushups/pullups to help bring awareness to the fact that 22 veterans commit suicide every day. All proceeds will be donated to the Police Departments of Huntingburg, IN and Jasper, IN, furthering their commitment to keep our communities safe and honoring those fallen. Please join us in honoring these brave men and women.
