Join us for the 7th Annual Baby Steps for Jameson Memorial 5K on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in the charming town of McLeansboro, Hamilton. This uplifting event features a 5K run/walk and a Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run, all taking place at 501 E Randolph St, behind Hamilton County East Side School. The 5K is set to kick off at 2 PM, with the Kids Run following at 3 PM. Participants will enjoy a mostly flat asphalt course, perfect for both seasoned runners and newcomers, with just a couple of moderately challenging hills to keep things interesting.
Not only does this event promote health and fitness, but it also supports a wonderful cause! Proceeds benefit Haydens Helping Hands, a foundation dedicated to assisting parents with medical expenses after the heartbreaking loss of a baby. Each finisher of the Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run will receive a special award, while top runners and walkers in each age group will be recognized. Haydens Helping Hands is a foundation of the Charitable Partnership Fund, dedicated to financially assist parents with medical expenses after the birth of a stillborn baby.
Jameson was born sleeping on March 8, 2020. During this time, HHH provided financial support and resources to us in this very difficult journey. They helped us understand that Jameson will always be remembered.
If you are on a similar walk and have lost a baby or a child (of ANY age) or know someone who did, please join us! Plan to walk, run or come visit! Signs with loved ones' names or personalized shirts are encouraged!
