Join us for the 8th Annual PTSD Awareness 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in the beautiful city of Peoria, Maricopa. This uplifting event is not only a chance to get active but also an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by PTSD. This year, we are excited to introduce a running chair, ensuring that everyone, including those with disabilities, can participate and show their support.
The race will commence at Copper Hills Church, located at 27035 N Black Rock Blvd, Peoria, AZ 85383. Participants can look forward to receiving a stylish participant t-shirt, a limited edition finisher's challenge coin, and a goody bag filled with surprises. Refreshments will be provided on course and post-race, including delicious coffee from Well Coffee Co. Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers across various age categories. Don’t miss the chance to honor those battling PTSD and to support the First Responder PTS Foundation. Be sure to register by May 4th to guarantee your t-shirt size! Organiser's Description
It's our 8th Annual PTSD Awareness 5K! And we have something new and exciting!! We will be introducing a running chair that will allow disabled individuals to participate in these events. Check out the First Responder PTS Foundation [https://firstresponderpts.org/]website for more information. Help us in our efforts to overcome PTSD by supporting and participating in this event. Show your support by honoring those that have lost the battle to PTSD, those who are currently battling and those who have survived the battle. Through PERSEVERANCE, TENACITY, SUPPORT and DETERMINATION we can overcome PTSD. Proceeds from this event will go to the First Responder PTS Foundation (501c3) to assist first responders in obtaining mental health services and education related to PTSD.
We will be giving out awards to the top male and female finisher in the following age categories
0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
