Get ready for a pawsitively delightful day at the A Kitten Place Black Cat 5K Fun Run! Join us on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in the scenic Twin Lakes Neighborhood of Valrico, Hillsborough, for an exciting event that promises fun for the whole family. Participants can choose to run or walk the untimed 5K course or take a leisurely stroll on the one-mile loop around the beautiful lake.
The festivities kick off at 8:15 am with registration and check-in, followed by the 5K run starting at 8:45 am and the one-mile option at 8:50 am. After the race, enjoy a vibrant celebration featuring refreshments, a silent auction, a raffle, live music, awards, and a costume contest that encourages creativity and fun! Don't forget to participate in our Cat Litter & Toy Drive — bring a bag of clumping or non-clumping cat litter and any cat or kitten toys to get entered into our exciting raffle. This event supports A Kitten Place, so come join us for a day of community spirit, fitness, and feline fun!

A Kitten Place 5K Fun Run/Walk (one mile option) is a fundraiser benefiting A Kitten Place. Participants can run or walk the (untimed) 5K, or walk the one mile loop around the lake. Event festivities will take place immediately following the run/walk which will include refreshments, silent auction and raffle, music, awards and costume contest!
