Event summary
Join us for "A Walk to Remember our Fallen," a heartfelt event taking place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Boalsburg, Centre County. This meaningful gathering, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Military Museum and A Soldier's Hands, invites participants to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country. The day kicks off at 8 A.M. with a patriotic Color Guard presentation and a moving Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a keynote address from Army Veteran Pam Robb.
Participants can engage in a somber 5K walk featuring six laps around the museum grounds, while also enjoying activities such as writing notes from home, creating poppy flowers, and signing a remembrance board. The event will also feature beautiful performances by the Nittany Knights Barbershop Chorus and a poignant rendition of TAPS, complemented by a 21-gun salute from the Bellefonte VFW. This event not only commemorates our heroes but also fosters community spirit and remembrance. Join us as we come together to share stories, honor sacrifices, and keep their memories alive.
