With registration opening at 6:30 AM, participants can look forward to an energizing welcome at 7:00 AM before the 10K Run kicks off at 7:45 AM, followed by the 5K Walk at 7:50 AM.
The Abrazo 2025 event not only promotes health and fitness but also supports the launch of the La Semilla Community Resiliency Center, a space dedicated to teaching residents about sustainability and climate resilience. By participating, you’ll be contributing to a healthier and more sustainable future for our community. Make sure to use public transportation as it’s just a short 15-minute walk from the San Ysidro Station to the event location at Las Americas Premium Outlets. Join us for a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit, culminating in awards and raffles from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM!

CASA FAMILIARS 2024 ABRAZO 5K WALK + 10K RUN: SEEDING OUR FUTURE / SEMBRANDO NUESTRO FUTURO
A key factor to enhancing quality of life means tackling the critical climate challenges that our community faces. Casa is getting ready to launch the La Semilla Community Resiliency Center, a learning space for residents to engage in ways to mitigate air pollution, extreme heat, drought, energy use, and other climate risks. Participants will also engage in e-shared mobility projects, water & energy conservation learning, and smart sustainable building and upgrades to their homes.
Your support in participating this year at Abrazo 2025 will help us continue to seed a healthier and more sustainable future.
THE ABRAZO 5K WALK + 10K RUN is a course that will take participants along the San Ysidro-Tijuana border on SATURDAY, MAY 3, 2025 FROM 7:30AM TO 11:00AM. CHECK-IN STARTS AT 6:30AM AND THE PROGRAM WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 7:00AM.
