Get ready for the After Ate 8K and 4K event hosted by Colonial Sports at the Meadows in Williamsburg, James City on Saturday, November 30th, 2024. This Healthy Heart! Healthy Mind Event features an easy 8K run and a relaxed 4K run/walk on the scenic Virginia Capital trail. The 8K race starts at 10 AM with chip timing, custom race t-shirts, and finisher medals for the first 300 participants. Awards will be given to top finishers in various age groups. The 4K run/walk begins at 9:55 AM with similar perks and awards. After finishing, enjoy a slice of pizza, refreshments, and a complimentary Alewerks Beer while DJ Dreux provides entertainment. Participants are encouraged to donate 35 lbs of non-perishable food to help reach the goal of 10,000 lbs for local food banks. Join us for a fun and fulfilling day of running for a great cause!

This is a Healthy Heart! Healthy Mind Event! Hosted by Colonial Sports at the Meadows
The easy 8K and relaxed 4K run/walk start and finish at the zero mile mark on the Virginia Capital trail. The 8K starts at 10 Am and it is a chip-timed race. All 8K participants receive a custom Long-sleeve race t and the first 300 who sign up and finish the run/walk receive a die Cast finisher medal. Participants run on the beautiful Capital Trail with gorgeous scenery from miles 2-4. Race awards will be given to Top three men and women overall, top three males and females in age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and over, Top three males and females in the competitive Walk.
The relaxed 4K Run/ walk starts at 9:55 AM and it is a chip timed race. All participants receive a custom long sleeve race t and the first 200 receive a custom finisher medal.
Participants run on the service Rd. that parallels Jamestown Rd heading to a turn around on Landfall and back to the finish.
Race Awards will be given to Top three male and female overall and top three male and female in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19,
20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69,70-74, 75 and over. Top three male and female competitive walkers.
All 8K and 4K finishers receive a hot slice of pizza, other race refreshments and those of legal drinking age a complimentary Alewerks Beer.
DJ Dreux provides after-race music and entertainment.
All 8K and 4K participants are asked to donate 35 lbs of non-perishable food for the Food Bank. Our goal this year is to donate 10.000 lbs of food. Food will be donated to the Salvation Army, House of Mercy, Fish, Grove Christian Outreach, and St. Olafs. Please drop items off at the store or at the race.
