AGE-HANDICAPPED 4-MILER IS AN ANNUAL RACE HELD EVERY JULY 4TH TO CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY AND THE CLUB'S FOUNDING. UNLIKE A STANDARD RACE, IT FEATURES A STAGGERED START BASED ON AGE AND GENDER, AIMING TO HAVE ALL PARTICIPANTS FINISH CLOSER TOGETHER.
The Goal: The "winner" is the first person to physically cross the finish line, regardless of their net running time.
The race uses specialized handicap tables based on national age-group records.
