For those looking for a bit more challenge, the chip-timed 5K race promises a stunning route along the beach and paths, perfect for competitors aiming for personal bests. With registration and packet pick-up starting at 7:30 am, followed by a warm-up session and the races kicking off at 9:15 am and 9:30 am, there’s plenty of excitement in store! A BEACH FUN RUN AND 5K for all ages and fitness levels - Benefiting Anna Maria Elementary School PTO.
JOIN THE ANNA MARIA ELEMENTARY PTO AT COQUINA BEACH FOR A FAMILY FRIENDLY FUN RUN OR 5K.
The fun run is approximately 1.5 km, untimed, and will be on the path under the shaded trees just prior to the 5k. This event is not intended for competition, but joy and fun. All ages are welcome and the path is stroller-friendly! Parents (or other responsible adults) can run free with their child, however finisher medal will only be for registered participants. Walk, jog, run, skip, or dance along with others in our community. Prizes for best costume(s) and maybe other fun awards!
The 5K run will include chip-timed bibs, and the route is along both the beach and the paths. This race is for those who want to compete amongst other racers and/or against themselves (a perfect place to set your personal best time!), or who want a longer duration run/walk than the fun run. Please let those who are competing line up closest to the starting line. Finisher medals included for each participant.
ORDER OF EVENTS:
7:30-8:30 am: Raceday registration/packet pick up
9:00 am: National Anthem
9:05 am: Warm up led by Reed Physical Therapy
9:15 am: Fun run begins
9:30 am: 5K begin
10:45 am: Cool down led by TBD
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed at Coquina beach, so please leave your furry friends at home.
