Get ready for an exhilarating day at the Around the Beach event on Saturday, June 13, 2026, held at the beautiful Munroe Falls Metro Park in Summit! Participants will have the opportunity to tackle a challenging hilly course that features two scenic loops around the picturesque lake, perfect for both seasoned runners and casual walkers. Choose from a 1.55-mile fun walk option or dive into the race with the full loop, all on a well-paved path that’s stroller-friendly and open to our furry friends.
This year promises to be extra special with a simplified route that includes a short out-and-back on a service road. Every participant will receive a fantastic custom tech shirt and a unique finisher's medal, making this event one to remember. Enjoy live DJ music, delicious treats at the finish line, and celebrate the spirit of competition with awards for the top male and female finishers, as well as age group winners spanning from under 10 to 80+. Join us for a fun-filled day where everyone is celebrated, from the speedy racers to those taking their time. Organiser's Description
Two loops around the lake at Munroe Falls Metro Park on the paved path. The course is hilly and paved. We're simplifying the route slightly from previous years, by adding a short out and back on a service road (see map).
* 1.55 mile fun (untimed) walk option (1 loop)
* It's a great course for strollers and our four-legged friends.
* Everyone will get an amazing custom tech shirt and custom finishers medal
* We'll have plenty of treats to enjoy at the finish line.
* Live DJ music.
We will celebrate all paces by giving out awards to our speedier guests and then cheering on those finishing later. We'll also have some fun team competitions for the hairiest and largest.
Awards will be given to the overall Female/Male winners (1, 2, 3) as well as to the following Age groups
under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Early packet pick-up will be Friday 6/12 from 4 pm- 7 pm at the race site, Munroe Falls Metro Park, main parking lot.

This is a great way to support our cause and have some fun along the way. Run your race wherever you like, snap some pics of you running and doing the hula (it's a beach race), and submit your results. We'll ship out your shirts prior to the actual race day (assuming that they come in time).
