Get ready for the BAD SANTA TRAIL 5K on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the beautiful Addison Oaks County Park in Leonard, Oakland! This exciting event offers a unique opportunity to both run and walk on a captivating mix of dirt and blacktop trails, featuring rolling hills that showcase the scenic beauty of Michigan in winter. Participants can anticipate a range of trail conditions, from snow-covered paths to icy stretches, making it a true adventure for all.
With a 5K race for those aged 15 and older and a fun kids’ run for youth 10 years and younger, there’s something for everyone! The kids' fun run covers a distance of 1/4 to 1/2 mile, and all finishers will receive delightful swag just like the 5K participants. After the race, warm up with hot cocoa and cookies by the fire pit! Registration opens at 7:30 AM, with the kids' fun run starting at 9:00 AM and the 5K kicking off at 9:30 AM. Plus, park entry is now free! Embrace the winter spirit and join us for a day full of fun, fitness, and festive cheer!

KEEP IN MIND THIS IS MICHIGAN.. .TRAIL CONDITIONS COULD BE SNOW COVERED, ICY, MUDDY. WEATHER CAN BE SNOWY, RAINY, COLD, FREEZING!
COURSE WILL NOT BE PLOWED OR SALTED AND THE RACE WILL GO ON THROUGH ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS. FOR BEST TRACTION PLAN TO WEAR TRAIL RUNNING SHOES, HIKING SHOES OR ADD SOME YAK TRACKS TO YOUR SHOES.
5K PRICING FOR YOUTH (15 YEARS AND YOUNGER) - $25
NEW: KIDS FUN RUN FOR YOUTH 10 YEARS AND YOUNGER. THE DISTANCE WILL BE 1/4-1/2 MILE IN LENGTH. FINISHERS WILL RECEIVE THE SAME SWAG AS THE 5K.
