Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Bellwood Daze River Run on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025! This exciting event takes place in the heart of Bellwood, Butler, Nebraska, during the vibrant Bellwood Daze celebration. Runners of all ages can choose between a scenic 2-mile or a challenging 6-mile race along a mostly flat, out-and-back course that winds its way north of town towards the picturesque Platte River. The 6-mile race features a stunning turnaround at the confluence of Clear Creek and the Platte River, offering a beautiful view to enjoy as you race. Young runners can also join in the fun with a kids half-mile race, held entirely on the safe, paved streets of Bellwood. Join us for a day filled with community spirit, friendly competition, and a celebration of fitness!

The Bellwood Daze River Run is held each year during the Bellwood Daze celebration in Bellwood, Nebraska.
The 2-mile and 6-mile races are held on a mostly flat, out-and-back course consisting of pavement and gravel going north of town towards the Platte River. The turnaround for the 6-mile run is where Clear Creek meets the Platte River. The kids half-mile race is held entirely on paved streets in town.

OPENS JUN 25The virtual run start/end times indicate that it is only for August 3. However, you can do the run/walk at any time the prior week. You can run/walk any distance and running at/near/to a river is not required but it is encouraged. Email us your distance and time by the end of 8/4/2024 (the day after the race). Include a photo of yourself if you can. All entrants in the Virtual run will appear in the results as participants without specific ranking.
