Get ready for an exhilarating experience at the 9th Annual Bernin' to the Beach bicycle event, taking place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in beautiful New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina! Join fellow cycling enthusiasts for a scenic 40-mile ride from New Bern to Atlantic Beach, starting at 8:00 AM and finishing around 2 PM. This fun-filled event, with a leisurely pace of 12 mph, is designed for cyclists of all skill levels and features two refreshing rest stops where you can recharge and enjoy the enthusiastic support from our amazing volunteers.

This year's theme, "all things FOX," pays tribute to the incredible work of Michael J. Fox, as proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation in their mission to find a cure for Parkinson's disease. After the ride, gather at the Doubletree of Atlantic Beach for a delicious lunch and a chance to unwind at the cash bar. Organiser's Description

The popular, all-inclusive, safe, fun bicycle event of the year that supports the Michael J. Fox Foundation and funding a cure for Parkinson's disease.

Ride takes place on Sat, Oct. 26th, starting at 8:00am (riders take off at 8:30am) and finishing around 2pm (includes lunch).

Our 9th Annual 40-mile bicycle ride from New Bern, NC to Atlantic Beach, safely in a police escort. Bicyclists pedal at a casual 12mph pace with 2 rest stops along the way where volunteers cheer them on and hydrate and feed them very well! Our theme this year is "all things FOX"...in honor of our humble leader, Michael J. Fox. So get FOXY, folks!

Finish line is at the Doubletree of Atlantic Beach where lunch is provided and there is a cash bar for cocktails/beers/sodas. Friday, October 25 is our Kick-Off Party with swag bag and t-shirt pick up, live music, and a meet and greet for all riders and volunteers. This fun pre-gaming is at The Flying Fox in downtown New Bern (411 Broad Street, 28560) from 5pm-8pm.
