Join us for the 5th Annual Miles for Mentorship event on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Hawk Island in Lansing, Ingham! This exciting outdoor event features a 5K walk or run, perfect for participants of all skill levels who want to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Michigan Capital Region. Proceeds from this uplifting event go directly towards creating one-to-one mentoring relationships that empower youth to reach their full potential.
But that's not all! We're thrilled to invite children aged 12 and under to join the fun in our free Spooky Sprint Kids Run, where Halloween costumes are encouraged. Every young runner will receive a treat bag at the finish line, ensuring a delightful experience for all. Plus, the race will be professionally chip-timed by the Michigan Running Foundation, with results available during the event and online. Come out for a fantastic day of community spirit, fun, and mentorship on October 12th!

We are excited to host our 5TH ANNUAL MILES FOR MENTORSHIP event to support BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS MICHIGAN CAPITAL REGIONS mission to ignite the promise and power of youth! Miles for Mentorship is an outdoor, walk or run 5K. This year the event will be held at Hawk Island starting and ending at the Red Tail Shelter. Proceeds to this event help support the agencys mission to create 1-to-1 mentoring relationships so that all youth achieve their full potential!
BACK AGAIN! children 12 years of age and under are invited to participate in our SPOOKY SPRINT KIDS RUN! Halloween costumes are encouraged, and each participant will receive a treat bag at the finish line. The Spooky Sprint is free of charge!
