Get ready for a spooktacular day of fun and fitness at the first annual Monster Mash Mile Fun Run on Saturday, October 18, 2025! Set against the stunning backdrop of Wailoa State Park in downtown Hilo, Hawaii, this exciting event invites participants of all ages to join in on the festivities. Whether you're looking to test your speed or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll, the Monster Mash Mile has something for everyone. The 1-mile race kicks off at 9:00 AM, followed by a shorter distance race for kids at 9:30 AM.

Dress to impress in your best Halloween costume, as there will be awards for the top three male and female mile times, as well as special prizes for the best costume and stroller participants. Plus, all kids will receive a prize for their participation! Entry is free for BIRR members and children under 12, with a $10 donation for non-members.
