Participants will compete in a range of age-appropriate distances, including a 50-yard swim, 1-mile bike, and 0.5-mile run for the youngest age group (5-7 years), up to a challenging 150-yard swim, 4-mile bike, and 1-mile run for middle and high school competitors.
All racers should arrive by 6:45 AM to ensure a smooth start, and with chip timing in place, every young triathlete will have their performance accurately recorded. This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon, so participants will need to secure a 1-day USAT membership for just $10 during registration. Organiser's Description
Join us for the YMCA's Youth Triathlon on Sunday, November 10 at the Peter Blum Family YMCA. The Triathlon starts at 7.30am and all participants need to be there by 6.45am.
Age Group Distances:
5-7 yrs - 50 yard swim, 1 mile bike, 0.5 mile run
8-9yrs -100 yard swim, 2 mile bike, 1 mile run
10-11yrs -100 yard swim, 2 mile bike, 1 mile run
Middle School -150 yard swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run
High School -150 yard swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run
*This will be based on the age of the kids on race day.
The race will timed through chip timing. Only the total time will be given.
