The race starts promptly at 9:30 AM, and participants can look forward to a post-race party featuring a Community Line Dance, live music, and a chance to win exciting prizes, including awards for the best costumes and wackiest socks! Plus, don't forget to bring cozy socks, family board games, or tech accessories to "Stuff the Sleigh," helping pediatric oncology patients in local hospitals. Jacob Way Organization invites you to be part of history. On December 5, 2026, we are launching our national Bold for Gold Tour right here in Arlington, Texas!

Theme: "Operation Holiday Hope" is more than just a 3K walkit is a community celebration designed to shine a light on childhood cancer while spreading holiday cheer. Whether you are a runner, a walker, or just here for the hot cocoa, you are helping us ensure that no family fights cancer alone.

* EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
* The "Stuff the Sleigh" Drive: We are parking a massive vehicle at the starting line! Bring cozy socks, family board games, or tech accessories (headphones/tablets) to "stuff" the vehicle. All items go directly to pediatric oncology patients in DFW hospitals.
3K Fun Walk/Run: A safe, family-friendly course (approx. 1.8 miles) on the paved trails of Bob Cooke Park. No traffic, just trees and good vibes.
* Post-Race Party: Stay for the Holiday Market, hot cocoa station, and our signature Community Line Dance Celebration inside the East Rec Center Gym!

ABOUT THE CAUSE
Jacob Way Organization provides emotional, financial, and mental health support to families of children with cancer. Founded in loving memory of Jacob, who passed away just 77 days after his diagnosis, our mission is to provide Care Packages and financial relief so that parents can focus on what matters most: their child.

100% of the "Stuff the Vehicle" donations will go to local families in the hospital battling Childhood Cancer.

Parking Primary Parking: Available at the East Library and Recreation Center main lot (1817 New York Ave). Please obey all City of Arlington "No Parking" signs. Strollers & Pets Strollers: YES! This event is 100% family-friendly. The 3K course takes place on the paved concrete trails of Bob Cooke Park, perfect for strollers and wagons. Pets: Outdoors: Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the 3K walk/run! Indoors: Please note that only Service Animals are permitted inside the Recreation Center Gymnasium for the post-race party and vendor market. If you bring a pet, please plan to have someone stay outdoors with them during the indoor activities. Weather Policy Rain or Shine: The event will go on! Cold/Rain Plan: If the weather is frightful, the party inside will be delightful! We have reserved the indoor gymnasium for our pre-race warm-up, vendor market, and post-race awards to keep everyone warm and dry. In the event of severe weather (lightning/ice), updates will be posted via email and on our social media pages by 6:00 AM on race day. Refund Policy Since this is a charity event benefiting families battling childhood cancer, all registrations are non-refundable, even in the event of weather cancellation. We appreciate your donation to the Jacob Way Organization. Volunteer Opportunities Not a runner? We need you on the "Gold Squad"! We are looking for energetic volunteers to help with the Water Station, Course Marshalling, and the "Stuff the Vehicle" drive. Stuff the Vehicle" Guidelines We are collecting NEW, UNWRAPPED items only. Priority Items: Cozy and Funny socks (all sizes), family board games, headphones, tablets, and craft kits. Please: No stuffed animals (due to hospital infection control rules) and no used items.
