LOCATION CHANGE!
Due to a last minute change in Valley Community Center's remodel start date, we have had to change our race location. The previous course is no longer safe for runners. The good news is that the new location is an improved course, no longer on dirt trails and grass.
Race Location: St. Boniface Catholic Church, 1200 S. Warrior Lane, Waukee, IA 50263
Race Date/Time: Saturday November 16 at 10 a.m.
The 5K and the 1 Mile Run will start at the same time.

5K RACE: The 5K race is perfect for both seasoned runners and beginners looking for a challenge. You are welcome to participate at any pace, from an easy walk to a fast run, pushing yourself to get your best time. Feel the rush of adrenaline as you push yourself to reach the finish line, knowing that every step you take supports a worthy cause.
1 MILE FUN RUN: For those who prefer a shorter distance or want to enjoy a leisurely stroll, our 1 Mile Fun Run is the perfect option. This non-competitive event is open to all ages and fitness levels. Take your time to soak in the beauty of the trail, enjoy the camaraderie of fellow participants, and make lasting memories with your loved ones.
VIRTUAL OPTION: You may use whatever timing and distance tracking method/app that you chose. You are not required to submit your time, however if you want your time posted online, you must submit your time on Run Sign Up by Dec 1st. Regardless of whether or not you submit your time, you are a valued member of our race. We have a great giveaway package for our virtual runners, but ask that you cover the shipping costs. Please select this as an add when registering.
CHARITY CAUSE: By participating in our Born to Run Race (5k + 1 mile fun run), you are directly contributing to a meaningful mission. All proceeds from this event will benefit Mary's Helping Hands, an organization dedicated to providing hope, love and support for expecting mothers and fathers who may need a helping hand with basic needs for their childs first year of life. We do this by providing basic necessities such as clothing, diapers and wipes at no cost. Your participation will make a difference in the lives of those in need and help create a brighter future for our community.

PACKET PICKUP @ Fitness Sports (8810 Swanson Blvd, Clive, IA 50325) on Friday, November 15th, 4:00-6:00 pm, or on Saturday, Nov 16th, day of race, @ Valley Community Center from 8:00-9:00 am.
*Day of registration will be available from 8:00- 9:30 at an increased cost. It is HIGHLY encouraged to register in advance for this event as we expect it to fill up!
_WELCOME FESTIVITIES: _The event will end at 12:00 PM CT.
GIVEAWAYS: (the most important part, right?) IN PERSON RACERS 13 and over will receive a race t-shirt*, race bib and other exciting items such as Ice Cream vouchers and beer coupons; children 12 and under will receive Hy-Vee coupons and Ice Cream vouchers as well, race bib, and a few other exciting items!

ADDITIONAL INFO: Everyone is welcome whether you are an avid runner or just looking to get some fresh air. Walkers are encouraged as well for both the 5k and 1 mile run. Running/jogging strollers are recommended. We welcome dogs, but require them to be on leash at all times.
