Join us for the Brayden's Benefit 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, September 28, 2024, in the beautiful town of Wellsboro, Tioga. This exciting event features a scenic 3.1-mile course that starts and ends at the picturesque Stony Fork Campground. Runners and walkers will navigate through a mix of grass, gravel, and dirt trails, complete with two fun creek crossings—so be prepared for some splashes along the way!
Not only is this a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself and enjoy the great outdoors, but it also supports a worthy cause. All proceeds will benefit the Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society in honor of Brayden Blackwell. Participants will have the chance to earn medals as awards will be given to the overall top finishers as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in various age categories. Refreshments will be available before the award ceremony at 11:00 am, making it a perfect day to celebrate fitness, community, and support for a meaningful cause. Organiser's Description
A 3.1 mile course, that starts and ends at the Stony Fork Campground. Consists of grass, gravel, dirt trails and 2 creek crossings so expect to get your feet wet! Money raised will be donated to the Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society in honor of Brayden Blackwell. Medals to be awarded to overall male and female finishers. Along with medals awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in each age category. Individual categories are 12 & Under, 13-17, 18-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Refreshments available prior to award ceremony at 11:00 am.
