ANNOUNCEMENT - DUE TO THE RECENT STORMS LAKE PARK HAS BEEN TAKEN OVER BY FEMA AND NOW IS BEING USED AS A COUNTY DEBRIS SITE. ALL PENDING EVENTS ARE BEING CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. CURRENTLY THERE IS NOT AN EXPECTED REOPENING DATE.

As a result of the change in status of Lake Park, and other parks in the county, we will be changing the race to a virtual run. More details will follow. The Buddy Run is put on by Congregation Beth Am Tampa and benefits Buddy Baseball, a non-competitive recreational league for boys and girls with special needs based in Temple Terrace, FL. Each player is paired with a Buddy to assist the player as needed. The league fosters friendships and breaks down barriers. Buddy Baseball is an opportunity like no other for children with special needs. Not only do the players experience the thrill of participating, they also get to experience team play and camaraderie. The Buddy Run is the largest fundraiser of Buddy Baseball and helps keep participant costs affordable for all.
