Not only will all finishers receive medals and enjoy a lively atmosphere filled with music and festivities, but they will also savor delicious cake by the lake! With unique awards for age categories in five-year increments, there are plenty of opportunities to celebrate your achievements. Children up to 12 years old can register for just $10, while teens aged 13-17 can join for $15. This flat course is perfect for those looking to set personal records, so lace up your shoes and join in the fun! Packet pickup starts at 6:30 a.m., with the race beginning at 7:30 a.m. Don’t miss out on this sweet event!

The Annual Cake by the Lake 5K and One Mile Cakewalk will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025 on the Withlacoochee State Trail!Both events start at Liberty Park in Inverness. 5K Runners will take off as the sun rises over the lake, with the distance walker starting 2 min and 30 seconds behind them. The 1-mile walkers will start moments later. Both the 5K and 1 mile routes travel along the beautiful shores of the Tsala Apopka chain of lakes. As all participants return to Liberty Park, theyll get their finishers medals, and enjoy music and festivities - and of course, eat delicious cake by the lake! Unique cake plate age-level awards will be three-deep in five-year age increments for the 5K. This event does NOT have T-shirts, but you'll be delighted with your race swag! Free photos will be available online.

ONCE AGAIN, WE'RE OFFERING $10 REGISTRATION FOR KIDS UP TO 12 YEARS OLD, AND $15 REGISTRATION FOR TEENS 13-17.
