Get ready for an inspiring day of fun and fitness at the 4th Annual CASA Superhero 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run in McAlester, Pittsburg, on Saturday, October 25, 2025! This exciting event is not only a chance to challenge yourself with a scenic 5K course that loops around the beautiful Chadick Park, but also an opportunity to support the vital work of San Bois CASA in raising awareness about child abuse prevention. The 1 Mile Fun Run kicks off at 9 a.m., followed by the 5K race at 9:30 a.m.
Participants are encouraged to unleash their inner hero by dressing up as their favorite superhero or even creating a brand new one! Everyone who joins in the festivities will receive a participant shirt and a finisher medal, with special custom awards for the top three finishers in each age group. Mark your calendars and prepare for a day filled with community spirit, inspiration, and the joy of making a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children!

Organiser's Description
The 4th Annual CASA Superhero Run to support the work of San Bois CASA (a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization) and to raise awareness about child abuse prevention. The 5K race begins and ends near 2nd & Choctaw in McAlester, OK. The course is an out/loop/back that goes around Chadick Park. The 1 Mile Fun Run will start at 9 a.m. and the 5K run will begin at 9:30 a.m. All participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero or invent a new one! Participant shirts and finisher medals will be provided on race day. Custom awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each age group. Come join the fun and support a local non-profit that is making a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children!

Kids must be at least 6 years and older to participate in the 5K run. This is a chip-timed run and participants will line up according to finish times. Fastest runners will be at the front with walkers at the back. Finishers will receive a CASA Superhero medal, and snacks will be provided after the run. Register by October 10th for a t-shirt! -
