Thank you for registering for the Sept 29, 2024 Trail Trek, we look forward to seeing you! Open or Same Day registration starts at 8am at the Par Course parking lot (tell your friends) and the Trek will start at 9am (same place).

Parking is available just down the road from the Par Course at the Brooktrails Community Center/Golf Course

Limited parking is available at the Par Course or a few spaces at Ohl Grove

From the N Main Street traffic light at the north end of Willits, you will turn onto Sherwood Rd for about a mile and half, veer left to get on Birch St, and either turn into the Par Course parking lot or drive to the Community Center.

Please remember, the 5K and 1/2 marathon routes are on some maintained surfaces (i.e., gravel and pavement), but the majority of the routes are on single and double-track trails that are minimally maintained. There are rocks, branches, and trees as obstacles. Please wear proper foot wear. Also, it's a good year for poison oak, it's out there, so if you are really susceptible to it, make sure you stay on the trail. These trails are in areas that are traversed and inhabited by wildlife. Practice awareness and good stewardship of our forests. Take out what you bring in.

Wear and bring sunscreen. Our late trekkers came in at about 130pm last year and it was a hot, sunny day.

There will be 3 Snack Tables along the route. First one will be at the Par Course (which will move to the Finish Line once our final 1/2 marathoner passes), second one at the Mike's Trail, Mossy Rock Trail, and Lilac Rd intersection, and last one will be at the start to the Dutch Henry.

The website will be updated with links to a map (png and jpeg), kmz (Google Map, Earth, Apple Map) file, and a gpx (GPS file) for each of the routes. Feel free to download them. Keep in mind, the routes were digitized and are not Survey Grade, so will be CLOSE to the trail, but likely not spot on, trekkers will need to pay attention to trail markers and flagging.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me (Crystal) at [email protected] up until the day before the race.

Again, we look forward to seeing you and are excited to share in Community and wellness. Crystal and the COLTT 23 family!

This is the 3rd year that with North Coast Striders, we are hosting a trek through Brooktrails in memory of Crystal and Davey Bowles' son, Sam and his perseverance through all of the struggles he constantly endured, and for their daughter, Bronach for her supporting spirit, strength and continuing zest for life. Bronach and Sam were best friends, reveling in the time and antics they shared together. These kinds of memories and those shared with family and friends give us courage to face the difficult moments that are present throughout each day.

Sam was not competitive, he lived in the moment, literally taking life in stride and finding every moment "worthwhile," a word he found deep and personal meaning in. We are hoping this will be a fun way for families to get together, enjoy the outdoors and company of each other.

Prices include Raglan 3/4 sleeve shirt. Please choose your size.
