Chama Chile Ski Classic

Get ready for an exhilarating day of outdoor adventure at the Chama Chile Ski Classic on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, in the picturesque town of Chama, Rio Arriba, New Mexico! This exciting event features a Freestyle Cross Country Ski Race, which serves as a qualifying race for the Nordic Series, along with Classic Cross Country Ski Races and Snowshoe races.

Participants of all ages and skill levels can enjoy a variety of races set against the stunning backdrop of the southern San Juan Mountains. The race course, which includes part of the historic Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, meanders through rolling hills, aspen groves, open meadows, and lush forests of spruce and fir, making it a truly scenic experience. Don’t miss the chance to register and pick up your bib on the evening of February 14th at Fosters Restaurant in Chama from 5:00-7:00 pm, or at the race site on the morning of the event from 8:00-9:00 am, with races kicking off at 9:00 am.
