Get ready for an exhilarating summer of trail running at the 10th annual Charlottesville Summer Trail Running Series! From May 3 to August 12, 2025, join fellow running enthusiasts in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia, as you tackle a series of four exciting races ranging from 5K to 5 miles. Kick off the series with the Mint Springs Trail 5K on May 3 at Mint Springs Valley Park, followed by the O-Hilly Trail 5K on June 3. Then, gear up for the Boar's Head Turn and Burn 5-Mile race on July 12 before wrapping things up with the Late Summer Meltdown 4-Miler on August 12 at Pen Park.
This fun and relaxed series is perfect for runners of all ages and abilities, featuring age group awards for both men and women, as well as a special Summer Series Finisher technical shirt for those who complete all four races. With a series registration fee of just $65 (or $55 for paid CATs members) and a fantastic BBQ cookout at the final race, this is an event you won't want to miss! Come join us for the extra special 10th annual Charlottesville Summer Trail Running Series! This is a fun, relaxed, low-cost summer trail running series with 4 trail races from 5K to 5-miles in distance, all in the Charlottesville/Crozet area. In addition to individual race prizes, there will be overall and top age group finisher prizes for the series, based upon cumulative time from all 4 races.
Runners who complete all 4 races in the series will receive a Summer Series Finisher technical running shirt at the last race, and runners completing 3 out of 4 races will receive a cotton finishers shirt. RUNNERS MUST REGISTER FOR THE SERIES IN ADVANCE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE SERIES FINISHER SHIRT. Additionally, all runners will receive a t-shirt for the first race. There will also be age group awards for both men and women in the top three in the following age groups for each race as well as for the entire series: Kids 12-U, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. The series races sell out every year and we continue to expect high demand this year, so register now!
