Join us for the inaugural Chasing Hope 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Hope Stride on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026, in Berea, Madison! This uplifting event kicks off at 9:00 AM at Berea Community High School and aims to raise awareness and foster hope for suicide prevention and mental health in our communities. Participants can enjoy a scenic course on paved surfaces through Berea City Park and the Berea City Trail, making it a perfect outing for all fitness levels.
Whether you choose to take part in the timed 5K Run/Walk or the untimed 1 Mile Hope Stride, you're in for a day filled with food, fun, and fellowship for a great cause. Participants will receive commemorative race T-shirts, and awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as in various age divisions. Plus, enjoy free race photos and the chance to enter a Finish Line Photo Contest! With 100% of the proceeds supporting the Behavioral Health Department at Baptist Health Richmond, your participation helps empower individuals through education and fosters a supportive environment. A timed/competitive 5K (3.1 mile) race for all levels of runners & walkers. Race will be conducted on paved trail/roadway surfaces and there will be awards presented for the Top 3 M/F Overall & Top 3 M/F in various age divisions. A commemorative race T-shirt is included with registration (while supplies last). Strollers and dogs on fixed length leashes are permitted. -
1 Mile Fun Walk

For a $30 donation you can run/walk your own Chasing Hope 5K in your hometown on your schedule and we'll mail you your commemorative race T-shirt. We need 10 enthusiastic volunteers to work a 3.5-hour shift on race day to make our race great. Volunteers who work a full shift earn a commemorative race T-shirt.
