CHASING MEMPHIS: A LEGACY RUN is a community run created to honor the life and legacy of Memphis Peralta a beloved son, brother, friend, and scholar whose curiosity, selflessness, grit and determination touched everyone who knew him.
Memphis was an academically gifted young man who had the opportunity to attend some of New Yorks top schools, where he grew both academically and personally among a community that recognized his potential and encouraged him to pursue excellence. He was accepted into leading colleges and offered full scholarships opportunities made possible because people believed they could make a difference in a young man's life. Their belief made a difference in his.
This race was created to carry that spirit forward.
