Organiser's Description
In the past the Mole Day 6K raised funds to endow a scholarship at Marietta College to honor retired Biochemistry professor Dr. Bob Walker. We successfully reached that goal, with a lot of support by the community and the generosity of an anonymous donor.
Our new goal is to bring the Walker Prize Endowment up to a level that will allow the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry to support a Summer Research Fellowship. We hope to name this Fellowship in honor of Dr. Richard Krause (MC '32 Chemistry). Dr. Krause was the director of the NIH's Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases and a major benefactor of the Department.
