ONE MILE ROUTE DOWN HISTORIC CHESTER MAIN STREET!
The Almanor Recreation and Park Districts 45th annual Chester 4th of July Fun Run will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The one mile run/walk will start on the Collins Pine lawn located at 500 Main Street and proceed down Chesters historic Main Street to the finish at the Bidwell House located at 1 Main Street.
Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt (first 400 registrants) and enjoy refreshments at the finish line. After the event, there will be a 4th of July Craft Fair at Chester Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a 4th of July Parade starting at 11 a.m. on Main Street. The Craft Fair is sponsored by the Chester Elks and the Parade is sponsored by the Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Fun Run is ARPD's largest fundraising event and all proceeds benefit District programs and events, as well as capital improvement projects, with an emphasis on recreation, parks and trails.
