Get ready for an exciting day of athleticism and fun at the Chitimacha - Running Series Governor's Games, taking place on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in Charenton, St. Mary. This vibrant event kicks off at 5:45 PM at the Chitimacha Sports Complex, where young runners from kindergarten through 8th grade will have the chance to showcase their skills and compete for glory.

The event features a variety of race distances tailored to each grade level, including a 1/4 mile for Pre-K and Under, a 1/2 mile for Kindergarten through 2nd grade, a 1-mile challenge for 3rd to 6th graders, and a 1-1/2 mile race for 7th and 8th graders. Additionally, there will be a special 1/4 mile challenge for participants with special needs. Medals will be awarded to the top 10 runners in each gender and grade level, making this a memorable occasion for all young athletes.
