Join us for the inspiring Craig Kleiman 5K Run/Walk, taking place from Friday, August 29th to Monday, September 1st, 2025, in Bexley, Franklin. This uplifting event celebrates the life of Craig Kleiman, who passed away unexpectedly on his 40th birthday, and aims to support local programs for children with autism and other special needs. Lace up your running shoes for a beautiful 5K course that will take you through the scenic streets of North Bexley. The race kicks off at 9 AM, with a special kids run for children ages 8 and under starting at 8:45 AM.
This year, we’re excited to offer virtual options for both the 5K and the kids run, making it easy for everyone to participate, regardless of location. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Central Ohio chapter of Autism Speaks, the Columbus JCC’s inclusion summer camp, and Bexley Parks and Recreation's communication initiatives for special needs at the Bexley Pool. Celebrate the life of Craig Kleiman and run or walk to support local programs for children with autism and other special needs this Labor Day weekend with the Craig Kleiman 5K Run/Walk. This race will be held in memory of Craig, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 19, 2019 - his 40th
birthday. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Central Ohio chapter of Autism Speaks, the unique inclusion summer camp program for children with special needs at the Columbus JCC and Bexley Parks and Recreations special needs communication initiatives at the Bexley Pool.
Last years run generated much enthusiasm and support and we hope you will join us again for another great event along the beautiful streets of North Bexley! The 5K will start at 9 AM, and like last year, we are also offering a kids run prior to the 5K (8:45 AM) for children ages 8 and under. There also will be virtual 5K and kids run options as well for anyone who is unable to join us in person on Labor Day.
