Join us for the 2nd Annual Delaware Dash for Rare on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Wilmington, New Castle! This exciting event features a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile walk, aimed at raising vital funds and awareness for those living with rare diseases. Did you know that 10% of Americans are affected by a rare disease, yet less than 5% have an FDA-approved treatment? Together, we can make a difference!
The day kicks off at 7:30 AM with onsite registration, packet pick-up, and pre-race entertainment, followed by the 5K run/walk at 9:00 AM. After the race, enjoy awards, a raffle, and delicious brunch with live music starting at 10:30 AM. With recovery services provided by NovaCare Rehabilitation, participants of all levels can feel supported and energized throughout the event. Whether you choose to join us in person or participate virtually, your involvement will help transform lives. Don’t forget to register by October 3rd to guarantee your event shirt! Let’s come together for a fun-filled day that truly makes an impact!

2026 DELAWARE DASH FOR RARE 5K & 1 MILE WALK
Join the National MPS Society at the 2nd Annual Delaware Dash for Rare 5K!
This event is to raise money and awareness to help change the lives of those living with a rare disease. 10% of Americans suffer from a rare disease and less than 5% have an FDA-approved treatment. 3 out of 10 children with a rare condition do not live to see their 5th birthday, and we work to change this. Proceeds benefit the National MPS Society.

NOVACARE REHABILITATION WILL BE ONSITE FOR THE DURATION OF THE RACE PROVIDING RECOVERY SERVICES, STRETCHING AND ANY LAST MINUTE RACE PREP. WHETHER YOURE AN AVID RUNNER OR JUST LOOKING TO GET OUT AND HAVE SOME FUN, NOVACARES PHYSICAL THERAPISTS CAN HELP YOU WORK THROUGH ANY ACHES OR PAINS ALONG THE WAY.

You get to choose where, with whom, and even how you want to complete the 5K. by participating virtually, you can run the 5K at any time leading up to November 7th. It can even be done in increments, keep track of your distance until you hit the 5K!
