This uplifting community event features a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile walk, aimed at raising crucial funds and awareness for those affected by rare diseases. With 10% of Americans facing these challenges and less than 5% having access to FDA-approved treatments, your participation can make a significant difference.
Starting at 7:30 AM, enjoy onsite registration and pre-race entertainment, followed by the 5K run/walk at 9:00 AM. Celebrate with awards and a raffle at 10:00 AM, and indulge in a delicious brunch with live music at 10:30 AM, all included with registration. Whether you join us in person or choose to participate virtually, you can help change lives while having fun! 2026 DELAWARE DASH FOR RARE 5K & 1 MILE WALK
Join the National MPS Society at the 2nd Annual Delaware Dash for Rare 5K!
This event is to raise money and awareness to help change the lives of those living with a rare disease. 10% of Americans suffer from a rare disease and less than 5% have an FDA-approved treatment. 3 out of 10 children with a rare condition do not live to see their 5th birthday, and we work to change this. Proceeds benefit the National MPS Society.
RACE DETAILS
7:30 AM: Onsite registration, packet pick-up, and pre-race entertainment
9:00 AM: 5K Run/Walk
10:00 AM: Awards/Raffle
10:30 AM: Brunch & Live Music

You get to choose where, with whom, and even how you want to complete the 5K. by participating virtually, you can run the 5K at any time leading up to October 4th. It can even be done in increments, keep track of your distance until you hit the 5K!
