Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping five hours of trail racing at the DIRTY FOX FIVE HOUR TRAIL RELAY in Fort Wayne, Allen on Saturday, September 13th, 2025. Organised by Summit City Singletrack, participants can choose to compete as part of a team or as a solo runner or rider, tackling either a three-mile loop or a five-mile loop in Franke Park. Teams will have a chip timer on the trails at all times, exchanging the baton in the Exchange Zone after each lap. With no aid stations on the course, food and drinks will be available near the Exchange Zone for participants. Awards will be given to the top performers in each category, with funds raised going towards trail maintenance and projects in the Franke Park trail network. Five hours of trail racing in Franke Park!
Assemble your crew of riders or runners and hit the Franke Park Trails for five hours of competitive fun or you can compete as a solo participant and finish as many laps as you can in the five hour time limit.
WHAT TO EXPECT

Runners follow a three mile loop in the east side of Franke Park.
*
Riders follow a five mile loop on the west side of Franke Park.
*
Each team will have a participant with the chip timer on the trails at all times during the race.
*
After each lap, team members exchange the chip timer baton in the Exchange Zone and check with the Lap Tracker to record the lap.
*
All laps must be completed within the five hour time limit.
*
Teams and solo participants will have the opportunity to setup a home base near the Exchange Zone.
*
The Exchange Zone is located near Pond pavilion.
*
Solo participants will wear a race bib.
*
No aid stations on the course. Food and drink will be available near the Exchange Zone for participants.
*
There will be a timing mat at the start/finish line near the Pond pavilion..
*
Riders and runners will share the timing mat and complete many full laps as they can in the five hour time limit.
*
No credit will be given for incomplete laps!
*
The team or solo participant that completes the highest number of full laps will be declared the category winner.
*
In the event of a tie, the team or solo participant that completes the fastest first lap will be declared the category winner.
*
Teams will be able to set up camp and near the Exchange Zone at Pond pavilion.
*
Lunch will be provided for registered competitors and Crew/Spectators in Pond pavilion.
*
Team Captains will be able to add and remove team members up to the day of the event.
*
Endurance athletes of all levels are welcome to participate!
Riders must wear a bicycle helmet!
We also recommend safety glasses for riders.

Kids Free Ride/Run

Kids under 13 can ride a mile of trail that includes a small pump track and a half mile loop of entry-level trails. The riding loop will not be part of the event course. The loop will not be timed or staffed with a volunteer. Kids can also run a lap on the 5k trail running course. Kids who register before Monday, September 2nd 2025 will receive an event shirt, Kids who complete the 5k loop and 7 laps on the kids riding course will also receive a finisher medal. Picnic style foods, water, Coke and Sprite will be provided for all participants. Kids are registered will receive a wrist band that gives them access to race day food and drinks. -

A SPECTATOR/CREW REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED Picnic style foods, water, Coke and Sprite will be provided for all race participants. Paying the $15 registration fee gives any crew or spectators access to food and drink on race day. You will receive a wristband. Use it to have access to food and drinks. Fee also includes an event T-shirt.
