The Health Initiatives Committee of the Delta Mu Mu (DMM) chapter of the Omega
Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is hosting a 5K Walk/Run on Sunday March 10, 2023. The event will begin at the
office of Rehabilitation Concepts, LLC located at 4153 Flat Shoals Pkwy Building C Decatur, GA 30034. The route
will run down through the residential areas on Flat Shoals Pkwy to Waldrop Rd to River Rd and back to the starting point. The purpose of the 5k is to increase cancer awareness and screening in the African American community.
The Delta Mu Mu chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity is a non-profit organization has over 200 financial
brothers that serves the North Fulton County, GA area through innovative programming and community
service. DMM has implemented impactful community programs such as the Black Rhinos mentorship
program and annual College Fair as well as become a lead supporter for the American Cancer Societys
Relay for Life, North Fulton County. Since 2008, DMM has awarded over $350,000 in scholarships to
high school and college students to help advance academic achievements in college curriculums. DMM
funds its social action activities through its premier spring signature event, The Original Sundresses &
Seersuckers, and The P3 experience: Pinot, Paintings, & Poetry.
