Join us for the exciting Don Maynard Memorial 5-Miler on Saturday, September 21, 2024, in beautiful Greenfield, Franklin. This vibrant event features a fantastic 5-mile run along a scenic, flat course that meanders through the stunning Greenfield Meadows, offering breathtaking views and a lovely route that starts by the Green River on Nash's Mill Road. Participants will also have the option to enjoy a leisurely 3-mile walk along the picturesque bike path.
Registration is just $30 for the 5-mile run and $25 for the walk if you sign up online by September 19, with race-day fees slightly higher. Plus, the first 50 entrants will receive a race shirt, and there are exciting discounts for participants aged 65 and older! Proceeds from this uplifting event will support the Don Maynard Scholarship Fund, providing scholarships to graduating Franklin County public school seniors. Come out for a day of fun, fitness, and community, and don’t forget to take a refreshing dip in the river afterward!

The entry fees are $30 for the 5-mile run and $25 for the 3-mile walk. Online registration closes on Sept. 19. Race-day entry fees are $35 for the 5-mile run and $30 for the walk.
Donations also are encouraged. In Dons memory, proceeds go to the Don Maynard Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to graduating Franklin County public school seniors.
Race shirts to the first 50 entrants.
The race is endorsed by the New England 65-Plus Runners Club [https://www.ne65plus.org/] and will have 5-year age groups starting with 65-69. There's a $5 discount for 5-mile participants who are 65 or older.
The 5-mile course is a flat and scenic route through the Greenfield Meadows. The course begins by the Green River on Nash's Mill Road in Greenfield and continues through the meadows, then loops around toward Greenfield Community College. The course finishes with the last mile on the new Greenfield bike path, again along the Green River.
Walkers will walk a 3-mile loop of the bike path.
Be sure to take a dip in the river to cool off afterward!
